Mucca Pazza, a 30-piece self-described "circus punk marching band" will fill the Acorn Theater with its own brand of theatrical oompah-pomp. This event will be a fundraiser for WHRC, Radio Harbor Country in Three Oaks.

The Mucca Pazza repertoire ranges from Balkan-brass to 60's television show themes to Shostakovich and Bartok. They have performed nationally at many well known venues and concerts including McCarren Park Pool, True/False Film Festival, Looptopia, Lollapalooza, Rothbury Music Festival, Tour de Fat, and were featured on Late Night with Conan O'Brien in 2006.

Watch for further announcements regarding this event. You won't want to miss it!

FOTO Fest
December 5, 2009

2009 Poster

On December 5, FOTO held its third annual FOTO Fest to benefit the Three Oaks Food Pantry and Chikaming Elementary School's art program. The event took place in the Acorn Theater.

FOTO Fest 2009 was a holiday celebration packed with fun activities for kids and adults. It began at 11:00 am with the Three Oaks Holiday parade, which ran down .

The festivities then proceeded to the Acorn Theater, where everyone enjoyed a super yummy lunch of pizza, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, apples, and goodies.

We kicked off the event by forming the world's biggest holiday song kazoo orchestra and shook the Acorn Theater with rousing renditions of Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Magician David Kovac then performed his amazing acts of juggling and magic. Hewas followed by a children's performance of Arabian Nights, directed by Donna Blue Lachman.

FOTO Fest culminated as always with announcement of the 2009 winners of FOTO's Youth Art Contest. Sponsored by Skyline Design, the contest was open to children 5 to 12 years of age who live in the Three Oaks area.

All of the art submitted to the contest was on display for FOTO Fest attendees to view and enjoy. The three winning artists received cash prizes and had the satisfaction of knowing their art will be enjoyed by thousands of people. Skyline Design will incorporate their imagery into architectural stained glass installed in health clinics and learning centers.
